Fifth National Seminar – Italian Schools Associated with UNESCO ASPnet and Whole School Approach. UNESCO values, school governance, transformative education
On Monday, October 27, at the Niccolò Machiavelli State High School in Rome, theFifth National Seminarof Italian Schools Associated with ASPnet will be held, entitled “Whole School Approach. UNESCO values, school governance, transformative education.” The seminar, aimed at school administrators and teachers in the first and second cycles of education of Italian Schools Associated with UNESCO ASPnet, represents an important opportunity for exchange and in-person meetings for numerous school representatives from all over Italy. The Italian National Commission for UNESCO will be represented by Dr. Angelica Fei. The first session on cooperation, collaboration, and solidarity will feature a presentation by Professor Emiliana Mannese, Chair Holder of theUNESCO Chair“Generative Pedagogy and Educational Systems to Tackle Inequality,” entitledGenerative Pedagogy for Transformative Actions in Educational Contexts, which provides a significant theoretical framework for relaunching the possibility of collaboration between schools and chairs on UNESCO issues. This will be followed by a presentation by the National Coordinator of ASPnet Associated Schools, Dr. Guetti, on theWhole School Approach in UNESCO documents: challenges and opportunities for schools. In the second part of the seminar, school representatives will illustrate projects carried out and concrete initiatives to be implemented in the near future.
